Harwinton Public Library Website Redesign and New Logo Creation

Code Dragon had the pleasure and privilege of working with the Library Director and her staff on this exciting project. Our task was to redesign and recreate the library’s website, and to design and create a logo for the Library.  The existing website was fairly large, had an outdated design and layout, and was housed on an older system that was difficult for the staff to maintain. Additionally, the older/existing website was not responsive or optimized for viewing on different devices.

One of the main goals of a new website was to bring more awareness to the many public events and programs the library has to offer, while providing a platform for the Director and Staff of the library to easily maintain the website going forward.

Code Dragon designed and built the new website using the WordPress CMS platform, while creating a hand-coded custom layout. The finished project is friendly and inviting, easy to navigate, and fully responsive. New features include an event calendar & event registration system, search toggle functionality, slideshows, a room-booking system, book rivers, and extensive custom coding. Angela and Chris met with the Director & Staff regularly and provided WordPress and HTML training and ongoing coaching.
